Three things you can do to relax right now
We’re generally stressed.
We have a lot going on. Children, jobs, relationships - a swirling to do list.
We’ve had chronic stress (thanks Covid). We have monthly stress (thanks menstrual cycle). We have hormone stress (menopause, puberty).
And we often walk around with a body full of tension.
So; here are three things to do to relax right now:
Breathe - bring your attention to your breath. Slow it down. Breath in and out of your nose. Make the exhalation longer than the inhalation to invoke the parasympathetic (rest and digest response)
Roll your shoulders up and down, slacken your jaw - place a small half-smile on your face. How you hold your face can affect how your feel
Name three things you are grateful for. Simple, non-complicated - what can you appreciate in this moment.
That’s it! You can also watch this brief video below for more info!
